Our next workshop will be April 26, 2008 with Brian Burnett.   Title: Assessment for Learning in the Music Class This workshop presents a practical assessment strategy to help students develop music skills. Rubric design, grading criteria, and self evaluation are key tools to help students reflect on their learning.   Brian Burnett teaches elemental music (K-6) in the Rossford Schools near Toledo, Ohio. He is an active instructor for Orff Schulwerk teacher training courses. Brian was a contributor to Macmillan/McGraw-Hill’s Share the Music and Spotlight On Music, and has presented Orff Schulwerk and Authentic Assessment workshops at the American Orff-Schulwerk National Conference, state music conventions, and local chapters across the nation.   The workshop will be at Chandler Elementary in Charleston.
